Happy holidays, my loves!
I’m sure everyone is busy with family and food, but if you’ve snuck away for a little quiet time and wound up here, well I’m so happy to have you!
Samantha and Mike had a beautiful and intimate courthouse wedding, in November, here in Chicago. Sam wore a brown vintage skirt suit, and a matching hat with a birdcage veil. She incorporated many other borrowed and vintage elements to complete her outfit and, as you can see, the outcome was brilliant.
I have a special place in my heart for small weddings, and I absolutely adored this one. Despite the cold weather outside, so much warmth surrounded this gorgeous couple. After Mike and Samantha had said their vows, and their families congratulated them, and each other, I overheard someone say, “It’s so amazing to find the one you’re meant to love all your life, and when you love their family too, that’s a plus!”
It was clear that these were two families who were so excited to join together, with total support and love for Sam and Mike, and for each other. I’m no stranger to happy tears, and I probably don’t need to say this, but I was definitely composing some of these shots through blurry eyes (and I might be composing this blog post in the same manner — shhh, don’t judge).
Congrats, you two. Wishing you so much happiness!
