Elopement photography in the PNW
Well, I’m sure everyone is tired, at this point, of me going on and on about how much I love shooting in the Pacific Northwest. But, look at these photos! How could any photographer walk away from this experience not wanting more (and more, and more)?
One thing I love about shooting in amazing locations like this is actually the couples that I get to work with. If you’re having an elopement on the beach, in the rain, chances are we are kindred spirits. Chances are you don’t care if your hair is perfect, or if your dress gets a bit dirty. That relaxed attitude can really free you up to have more fun, and get photos that are super unique and special.
Athena and Camron were absolute adventurers. They ran around in the rain and hail, danced on the beach with the wind blowing them every which way, and definitely didn’t fuss over looking perfect. This session, along with Hannah and Grant’s session, was so incredibly refreshing, and I couldn’t have been happier with the photos.
The good news is, you can have a photo shoot like this one anywhere in the world! Sure, in Chicago, it’ll be a different backdrop, but you can still bring the same lively, devil may care energy and actually connect, and enjoy yourselves, and that’s really what sets the tone.
Personally, I love being able to let go and not take myself too seriously. Does it get me into trouble sometimes? Sure! But, oh! It’s worth it.
