This is the first Thanksgiving Ken and I have celebrated in Chicago, and being here is just one of the things I’m hugely thankful for. I’ve learned so much about myself since we’ve been here; I’ve taken risks, gotten out of my comfort zone, and started to heal my spirit. I’m thankful for the cozy little nest we’ve made here, and for so many other things. Here are just a few:
I’m thankful for my husband, and our marriage. I fall in love a little more everyday, it’s an amazing journey we’re on. (*muah, muah, muah* I love you, Moose.)
Thankful for my brother, and for the technology that keeps us in such close contact despite that we live in different countries.
For my friends, with whom I share everything. (I miss you dearly, my loves, come visit me soon.)
I’m thankful for the amazing clarity of my memories, and the vividness of my dreams. They allow me to stay close to loved ones who have passed on.
For photos that help me to replay some of my happiest moments, like they were yesterday.
I believe I have said this before, but I am hella thankful for Ken’s cooking and baking skills. His pumpkin pie ensures that we will always have the happiest marriage ever.
In all it’s glory… *cue heavenly music*Mmm… apple cider.
Best husband ever.
Thank you, Julia Child.
Since it’s just the two of us, we had chicken for our Canadian Thanksgiving. We’re doing turkey today, for American Thanksgiving. Yay for two Thanksgivings!
I’m thankful also, for the new clients/friends who make my job so fun, and have been so supportive of my new business.
To a wonderful Thanksgiving.
