I’ve been meaning to share these photos for ages! They’re from last winter, when Ken and I visited family in Squamish, BC. My in-laws have been waiting for me to get it together and send them some pictures, so I thought it was about time.
Ken’s dad, Art, was an amazing guide and knew all the best places to go to see the eagles and other birds, and Ken surprised me with a great new telephoto lens while we were in Squamish, without which these shots would not have been possible. Thanks, guys!
The first set of photos was taken at Eagle Run in Brackendale, the photos of the eagles in the trees were taken from a friend’s backyard in Paradise Valley, Squamish, and the pictures of the great blue heron — or as I refer to them, “cold little old men” — were taken at Porteau Cove.
See all the white spots in the trees? Those are bald eagles.
Natalie - These are beautiful, Tennile! More! More!
Tennile Sunday - Thanks, Natalie! Nature, amirite?
