I photographed this little guy and his parents just before the holidays. Lots of smiles in this session, but a few tears too — I think, in the spirit of photojournalism, it’s important to keep at least some of the less than perfect shots; they show so much personality! At the time, you might be a bit miffed that your toddler cried during your family session, but later you might enjoy looking back to see a true portrait of your family. I’m obviously heartless for saying this, but the faces kids make when they cry are absolutely priceless — still frames allow you to enjoy the visual, without the soundtrack. 😉

I love this last one. So precious.
