This leafy, fall engagement session was so much fun! Alyssa and Brian are coffee connoisseurs like me, and they suggested this adorable little shop, Glencoe Roast. I’d never been there before, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Village of Glencoe is just about the sweetest place ever. With the interlocking brick sidewalks, fountains, antique style telephone booths, and parks with trees galore, it was the perfect place for their shoot. Plus, Glencoe Roast serves Intelligentsia coffee, and you really can’t go wrong there. However, I think Intelligentsia would have been scandalized by the look of the heart in the cappuccino. 😉 Sure, I could have edited it to look like the cup with the flower in it, but actually I thought it was sweet of the barista to embrace his creative side for the sake of their engagement photos. It may not be perfect, but it sure has charm. Isn’t that life?
After seeing these pictures, Alyssa mentioned that for their wedding, she would try to keep her giggling to a minimum. Will someone please help me convince her that her natural laughter and smiles are the most beautiful things in the world, and they are what make these pictures special? Not to sound like a cheese factory, but you really can see the love in her eyes when her funny beau, Brian, brings out her smile.
I love this next picture. Alyssa couldn’t contain her laughter and, after the picture was taken, she told Brian, “I can hear you slurping!”
They’re also dog people so, when no one was looking, I snuck a shot of this little cutie in the basket.
I can’t wait for your spring wedding, and I hope these pictures help ease your worries about the weather. Even if it’s rainy, which I’m positive it won’t be, you’ll still get pretty photos, and you’ll still have fun.
